Two posters accepted for ECR 2022

Two posters have been accepted for ECR 2022 involving MARIA®, our new breast scanning system.

The first poster is the initial results of the LIESL trial carried out at Royal Marsden. Richard Sidebottom is lead author for this poster, 'Summary results for the LIESL trial of the MARIA® M6 breast imaging system - #14517'. It shows some overall results and patient feedback, as well as highlighting some areas for improvement in the system.

Micrima’s poster, 'Discussing improvements made in the MARIA®7 radio-wave breast imaging device and the introduction of additional breast density measurement functionality - #15226', focuses on the changes that have been made in MARIA®7.

We were able to focus on improving points raised in the Royal Marsden study. These are to provide improved sensitivity and additional functionality, while improving user comfort and usability. The paper also includes a MARIA® breast density score, the first time density information can be obtained routinely without the need for a mammogram. MARIA® 7 has been submitted for CE marking which we expect to receive in 2022.
