Micrima acknowledged at the 2018 ‘Made in the South West’ awards.
Micrima was bestowed the accolade of being voted the best new manufacturing company in the Medical, Life Sciences and Healthcare category at the 2018 ‘Made in the South West’ business insider annual awards event.
The award was in recognition of the significant advances that the company have made in setting up a new manufacturing business with the potential to grow to become a worldwide supplier of new technology. The judging panel were impressed by Micrima’s growth from an idea conceived at the University of Bristol to fact that the company now has a CE marked product that is in clinical trials in the UK and soon to be available throughout the world. The panel remarked that they liked the fact that each unit is build by the team at Micrima in our facilities in Bristol and that we have retained manufacturing control over the production of a complex technology that could benefit so many.
Neil Emery from Micrima collected the award on behalf of the company and thanked all the Business Insider judges for their recognition and support of such a vital and innovative technology that will hopefully save many lives as it is introduced into routine clinical use.
